Pytes V5 - 5kWh 48V LiFePO4 Battery

$1,599.00

FORT’s affordable internally-heated 5kWh rackmount battery option is Pytes V5.

The Pytes V5 LiFePO4 Battery is a well-designed, high-performance battery with a powerful BMS for added safety. Compact and easy to install, the Pytes V5 is maintenance free and can be wired in parallel to add more storage capacity. Each battery has a nominal voltage of 51.2V and nominal capacity of 100Ah, adding up to 5.12kWh of nominal energy.

With a low-consumption built-in heater that automatically starts in cold temperatures, you can safely charge at below-freezing without damaging the battery. The V5 also has a higher charge and discharge rate of 100A making it compatible with residential, small commercial, and telecommunications systems.

Heating:

The integrated heating function has a typical operating range of -4°F to 50°F. If the battery temperature falls below 41°F, the heating feature is initiated. Using charging current from the charging source, the heater will raise the battery temperature up to 50°F. The heater consumes up to 180W (per battery) from the charging source and will heat the battery at up to 10°C/hour. Because the heater is powered by the charging source, it does not affect the battery's state of charge (SOC).

If the battery temperature is between 35°F - 41°F (2°C - 5°C) the heater will initiate and the battery will be charged at the same time until the battery reaches a temperature of 50°F (10°C), at which point the heater will turn off and the battery will continue to be charged. If the battery is below <35°F (<2°C), the charging current will only be directed into the heating system until the battery rises above 41°F (5°C), at which point the battery will be charged normally.

Features:

Higher Charge & Discharge Rate: Maximum Charge and Disharge Current 100A / fully chargd in hour

Freezing Temperature Charging: The smart heating system allows for charging in freezing temperatures

Long-lasting and Efficient: ≥6000 cycles @90%DOD

Easy Connection: Up to 300A confluence current in parallel
